We are the Fishes. In 2011 two of our five children; Natalie and Alice were diagnosed with a rare gene disfunction called Leaky SCID (Severe Combined Immune Deficiency). Their condition is so rare that only two cases are reported in the U.S. each year. Both girls have endured much, and have spent most of their young lives in and out of hospitals due to common illnesess a healthy immune system would overcome. The required treatment for our girls is a bone marrow transplant.
Although the new marrow could mean a normal life for them, it will be a long and arduous road. This blog is to share our experience as parents and the courage of our children.

The Natalie & Alice Fish Story
This was the video presented at the "Share The Love" event on Saturday night. This is the story of Natalie and Alice Fish
That is so beautiful. Tyler, I don't know how you made it through the video without crying. Just another testament to your incredible strength. Thank you for sharing it. We can't wait to see you all soon.
I have been deeply touched by your darling girls' stories. What incredible courage, bravery, strength, and beauty (you too Blair!). Wishing you and yours continued determination and peace to fight this courageous battle! You girls are beautiful and have amazingly strong spirits that have touched the lives of hundreds or people you don't even know! Much love to your father and mother, who also "fight" this every step of the way along side of each of you. What examples your family if to all of us.
I'm do glad I had the chance to see your beautiful video. You guys are amazing and I look forward to your family's healthy, bright future! I love you dearly.
Amazing video. Yesterday I was in charge of sharing time in Primary. I had several teachers share how they or someone they knew had "chosen the right." One of the stories shared was about a little 7 yr old boy who is my next door neighbor. He had been saving up his money to purchase a remote control helicopter. He and his family were leaving Jump On It one evening when he saw a "Share the Love Event" poster with your beautiful girls pictures on it. He immediately insisted to his mom that he be able to donate all of his money to them. And of course when it was shared, I immediately wept, as our little family has prayed for you for quite some time. Your story of faith, courage and strength has touched so many and is far reaching. You continue to be in our prayers.
I am so glad you posted this. After the event I wished I could see it again. Tell Natalie the girls and I were talking about her at activity days today. She is so missed and so loved! Hugs to all- Sis Strong
WOW!!! I could never imagine what your girls and family are going thru. Your girls are so strong, and so adorable along with your other kids. I pray day and night for everything to keep going in a postive direction. I am so glad Alice is almost on her way home. I am sure it will be so nice to be a family under one roof again. Please keep us updated, I can't wait everyday to read your updates on such an amazing family. Thank you so much for sharing your story, we love you and only wish the best. Love you Fish Family.
I loved seeing this video at the fundraiser. When Spencer and I walked into the gym that night, I cried. I was so amazed at the support that was there for your family. What an amazing story your family has. I love all of the pictures of their feet and everything. So many details you may forget in the future if there wasn't a picture to remind you. We continue to pray for you!
So incredibly beautiful and so well done! Thank you for sharing your amazing story. I keep praying that this will all be a memory...a memory of growth, spiritual strength and knowledge that only come through trials. We love you all!
Dear Fish family, thank you for sharing your story. This coming Friday, my family and I will celebrate the 11th anniversary of my son's bone marrow transplant for X-SCID. We would love to meet your family. We live in Spanish Fork.
